We used to call this stone as Ruby Zoisite/Ruby in Zoisite but recent gemology reports are suggesting a better name for this stone - Ruby in Fuschite.  It is a naturally occuring green gemstone which has genuine ruby inclusions in it! These result in amazing patterns only nature can make. These beads listed here are some of the best examples we have ever seen exhibiting this and contain much more 'Ruby' than the regular cheaper Ruby Zoisite beads you see elsewhere!  Please note that the scan somehow changes the color of the Ruby to a bright pink color so the picture on your left shows a more realistic color of the beads.

Note that these beads have a tendency to 'dry out' and fade in color if exposed to open air for long periods. But this problem can easily be redemied by rubbing the stones with baby oil and allowing them to absorb the oil overnight.  The color will return to its original brightness when the stones have had a 'drink'.  Wipe off excess oil with a clean cloth.  But sometimes we keep them unoiled as we prefer the color this way!  You can always oil it yourself if you prefer the other color.
