These are just wonderful sparkling beads of Gem Brazilian Amethyst. Each bead is actually a cut gemstone just like the ones you've seen in high end jewelry, except these have been drilled as beads. The strand is temporarily strung and includes a focal piece, so you can just follow the same design and restring it for your own use. The beads are in a faceted oval shape with pointy backs. Beautiful gem-quality Brazilian Amethyst in a regal violet color which has been laser cut to produce all those lovely sparkling facets! The photo on the right shows the bead looking from the side. These aren't flat beads but have a slight cone-like protrusion on both sides in order to reflect the light to a max (just like that pointy bit at the bottom of the diamond!). Note that ALL the laser cut beads have this protrusion but I'm only going to mention this in detail in this listing.The smaller beads measure 13.5x16.75 mm, while the large centerpiece measures 17.6x22.9 mm .
